OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE
Be Free From Worry, Fear and Anxiety

The Missionary Image

Blessed Pope John Paul II said, “Now is the time of the New Evangelization to lead the People of God in America to cross the threshold of the third millennium with renewed hope.” He entrusted to Our Lady of Guadalupe, as the Star of the New Evangelization, the “future path of the Church on the great continent of America.”

He looked at an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and said, “Our Lady is brilliantly seen in the mestizo countenance of this image of Mary of Guadalupe, who appeared at the beginning of the evangelization of the Americas.”

“Now Our Lady accompanies each one of her daughters and sons with her motherly presence. I asked her to ‘visit’ as a ‘pilgrim of faith ‘-each and every diocese, parish and family in America.”

He concelebrated Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe with hundreds of bishops and priests. He preached, “May the Continent of Hope also be the Continent of Life! This is our cry: life with dignity for all! The time has come to banish once and for all from the Continent every attack against life. Holy Virgin of Guadalupe, Queen of Peace, save the nations and peoples of this Continent!”

He concluded his homily with a prayer, “Oh, Sweet Lady of Tepeyac, Mother of Guadalupe! We present to you this countless multitude of faithful who pray to God in America. You who have come into their hearts visit and comfort all homes, parishes and dioceses of all the Continent.”
In anticipation of the Pope’s plea for visitations of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Missionary Images began their Visitations in June of 1991 from the International Rosary Congress at the National Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.
The Missionary Images are actual color and size (4’ x 6’) replicas of the original Miraculous Image of Our Lady which she left on Saint Juan Diego’s Tilma. They were blessed at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico by the Rector of the Basilica, Msgr. Diego Monroy to bring conversions, reverence for life, sanctity of the family and solidarity of the Church in America.
They have been displayed before millions at thousands of sites. They have journeyed throughout America and the world and visited every state of the United States. The Images visit churches, abortion centers, convents, prisons, hospitals, nursing homes and schools.
The Missionary Image apostolate trains Guardian teams to receive the Images and to plan liturgical celebrations with their pastors.

There have been thousands of Masses, Confessions, hours of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosaries in the presence of the Images. Many conversions, healings, reconciliations and graces are reported. Many abortions have been prevented and over twenty abortion centers have been closed through Our Lady’s intercession by her Missionary Images after Visitations to them.

The Image was crowned by Cardinals Sin and Mahoney as Queen of the Philippines and by others as Queen of the Mexican Youth and Queen of the Youth of the World at the Denver World Youth Day.
