Purity or Sex Abuse Crises

Our Lady of America appeared to Sr. Mildred Neuzil from 1956 through 2000 in Fostoria, Ohio and Rome City, Indiana.

On September 26, 1956, the Blessed Virgin Mary came from heaven and appeared to Sister Mildred. Our Lady appeared as our Queen wearing her crown, manifesting her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart and holding out to us the lily of purity. She said, “I am Our Lady of America. I desire that my children honor me, especially by the purity of their lives.”

Our Lady of America asked us for purity and promised us peace and protection. However, America gave her the Sexual Revolution and a Culture of Death. America brought her widespread fornication and adultery, continuing with legalized contraception and abortion and culminating in legalized sodomy, same-sex false marriage, false transgenderism, suicide and the sexual harassment and sexual abuse crises. St. John Paul II called our culture a Culture of Death.

On November 15, 1956, Our Lady of America requested that a statue be made according to her likeness and that it be solemnly carried in procession and placed in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C. She wishes to be honored there in a special way as “Our Lady of America, the Immaculate Virgin.”  Our Lady promised that the placement of her statue in the National Shrine would be a safeguard for our country and the placement of her image or statue in the home would be a safeguard for the family.

Archbishop (later Cardinal) Raymond Burke wrote, “What can be concluded canonically is that the devotion was both approved by Archbishop Paul Leibold and, what is more, was actively promoted by him. In addition, over the years, other bishops have approved the devotion and have participated in public devotion to the Mother of God, under the title of Our Lady of America.”

Twelve years ago, I drove Our Lady’s beautiful life-size statue over the Allegheny Mountains to Baltimore, Maryland in 2006 for her display at the November Bishops’ Conference. Archbishop Burke requested the display of this statue at the Conference for the benefit of all of the bishops.

The statue was publicly displayed for the first time ever in the Concelebrated Mass Room. On November 15th, Archbishop Burke blessed this statue. Providentially, this blessing occurred precisely on the 50th Anniversary of the request that Our Lady of America made on November 15, 1956, to be placed and honored in the Shrine. (See the statue and more information here).

I was part of a small group at the Conference who explained the devotion and Our Lady’s request to the bishops, but they did not act upon it. And they have never responded to her request, although Our Lady of America told Sr. Mildred, “This is my shrine” and she’d made this special request to them.

You would think that they would’ve acted, but the bishops did not. We wonder why. Perhaps it was because the shrine was under the jurisdiction of Cardinal McCarrick and Cardinal Wuerl for the last 17 years and each of them was credibly accused in the sexual abuse crisis. They did not promote purity as Our Lady of America requested.

In January 1957, Our Lady of America told Sister Mildred to tell Bishop Leibold, her spiritual director, to send this message to him:

Hurry, my son, [Bishop Leibold], for the time is short, but the punishment will be long, and for many, forever. Tell the bishops of the United States, my loyal sons, of my desires and how I wish them to be carried out. Through him who is head over you make known the longings of my Immaculate Heart to establish the reign of my Divine Son in the hearts of men and thus save them from the scourge of heaven, both now and hereafter.

Let us hope and pray that the bishops respond to Our Lady’s request for the solemn procession and permanent display of her statute in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and that America will practice purity and avert Our Lady’s prophesied chastisement.
