Stalwart and faithful Maria Egerton of Jensen Beach, Florida, Guardian of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe reported that on February 25, she and the Image visited Florida’s Parkland High School. 17 students were killed there on Ash Wednesday. The purpose of the visit was to bring prayers and consolation for the teachers, for the students and the families of the victims.
They greeted the students who were returning for the first time since the mass shooting, which caused a long line of cars. Because it was so crowded, Maria didn’t think that she would be able to find a parking place. However, she said a prayer to Our Lady and they found one, right near the entrance to the school. Then they displayed the Image near the entrance gate.
Many people passed by the Image. Some inquired about their purpose and Maria and her helper explained the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe and how she brings peace. Maria had also brought many pins of Our Lady of Guadalupe, touched them to the Missionary Image and gave them to these people. See the photo of the student displaying a pin next to the Image and the other photo of another student wearing the pin who was with other students and a nun.

Maria said that they were at the school for most of the day. She didn’t get back home until almost 3:00 in the morning and said that she was very tired, hungry and thirsty, but it was all good.
The Image also visited St. Emmanuel Church for 2 masses for the intentions of the victims. Let us pray the Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe for the needs of everyone.
