Missionary Image Crowned during Pandemic Visitation

The Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is on May 31. When Archbishop Juan Posadas Ocampo commissioned and blessed the Missionary Image in Guadalajara, Mexico, he prayed,

Mother of the True God, and our Mother, Lady of Guadalupe, we beg you that your journey through all the Americas be realized now…. We know that you want to end abortion in the world and convert millions…. O Lady, help us support your mission with our prayers in order that your Missionary Image will be well-received in all of the America.

Our Lady made her first Visitation to a town of Judah. She was pregnant and St. Elizabeth, her elderly, pregnant cousin, greeted her and cried out with joy, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should visit me?” (Luke 1:42-43).

Mary is still making Visitations and traveling great distances to hear us cry out with this joy. Elizabeth’s awe, wonder and true humility are being shared today by people throughout America. They are ordinary people like Elizabeth and like you who are honored by Visitations from the Blessed Mother in the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe!

St. John Paul II asked Our Lady “to visit as a pilgrim of faith, each and every diocese, parish and family in America, repeating to her children what she said at Cana, ‘Do whatever He tells you.’ (Jn. 2:5). May she cross this continent bringing it life, sweetness and hope!” This is the mission of our apostolate.

The Missionary Image needs to travel on Visitations to melt hearts and to raise what St. John Paul II called “a great prayer for life” in order to transform our culture from a Culture of Death to a Culture of Life. We celebrate the Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth with this in mind.

Visitations Bring Light, Joy and Hope

Pope Francis said, “Holy Week challenges us to step outside ourselves so as to attend to the needs of others: those who long for a sympathetic ear, those in need of comfort or help. We should not simply remain in our own secure world, that of the ninety-nine sheep who never strayed from the fold, but we should go out, with Christ, in search of the one lost sheep, however far it may have wandered.”

This is what we do on Visitations with the Missionary Image. We look for the lost sheep, the marginalized people, the poor, the sick, the hospitalized, the prisoners, those in nursing homes, etc. We try to bring them light, joy and hope through Our Lady of Guadalupe whom St. John Paul II called the Mother of Hope.

Missionary Image Crowned during Pandemic Visitation
“O Mary we crown thee with blossoms today, Queen of the Rosary and Queen of the May.”

Guardian Jane Schiano Wigutow of Huntington, New York, sent me a report of her recent Visitation of the Missionary Image. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Father John drove one hour to lead the faithful in an outdoor May Crowning of the Missionary Image. She wrote,

We had a beautiful crowning of the holy Missionary Image of Our Lady in the church parking lot. It was complete with outdoor confessions, music, and Rosary led by Father John. Great turnout. It was supposed to be our homeschool group’s annual May Crowning, but word got out and a number of other people showed up too.

A mom whose daughter was in danger of miscarriage 16 years ago, and was saved after a Visitation of the Missionary Image back then, hosted the Image for a Home Visit on that daughter’s birthday. She then made a beautiful crown that we used and that she would like to offer to travel with the Image if others would like to use it.

Our Lady stays very busy in this strange pandemic environment that we are in!

And these kids are all in same family so they didn’t have to be social distancing! We venerated the Missionary Image one family at a time.

Please Help Us to Continue Visitations

You  too can host a visitation like Jane. Please help us continue these life-giving Visitations so that Our Lady will melt hearts, intercede and bring miracles, conversions and the restoration of a Culture of Life to our nation today. To learn more about being a Guardian of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, email Cathy
at cathyOLOG@gmail.com, visit our website or see the ad below. It is easier than you think and the joy that you will experience will be immeasurable.

As we celebrate our 29th anniversary, we need your help to hopefully continue our mission into the next 29 years. Our support has gone down because of the economic effect on our donors from the COVID-19 pandemic. And it also has had an economic effect on our Apostolate.  We are in debt $32,000.00.

So, I call upon your generosity to help us in our hour of need.

We have no assets besides our furniture and equipment. We have no savings accounts or investments. We live from hand to mouth depending upon divine providence and your generosity.

We plead for your mercy. Giving alms is a work of mercy for which God will bless you.

“Be not sparing of freewill gifts. With each contribution show a cheerful countenance, and pay your tithes in a spirit of joy. Give to the Most High as He has given to you, generously, according to your means. For the LORD is one who always repays, and He will give back to you sevenfold.” (Sirach 35:7-10). Thank you for your generosity!

Host a Parish or Diocesan Visitation

If you would like to host a Visitation of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, please email Cathy at cathyOLOG@gmail.com to host a Visitation.

A Visitation consists of visits of the Image to different sites and promotion of Our Lady’s Mission to end abortions and bring conversions in the New Evangelization.

The images visit churches and wherever else Our Lady’s motherly love is needed. The images bring works of mercy to convents, prisons, hospitals, nursing homes, schools and abortion centers. Because of the presence of the image, many abortions have been prevented and over twenty abortion centers have closed through Our Lady’s intercession.

Host a Home Visitation

Perhaps Our Lady is calling you to host a Home Visitation for her. The format consists of viewing of our video, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of Hope! and praying the full Novena to her.

All you do is watch our video, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of Hope!

Then pray the full Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of All America, in front of her Image, or, if possible, A Holy Hour for Life, Peace and Protection.

Invite ten to twenty people to your home or group, show the video and lead the prayers. Easy!

Please email Cathy at cathyOLOG@gmail.com if you would like more information.
