May Lady Gaga Be Totally Healed!

May Lady Gaga Be Totally Healed!

I saw a photo on the Internet of entertainer Lady Gaga praying the Rosary. I thought that was unusual, so I did a quick Google search about her. Soon after, I turned on Netflix and saw an ad staring at me about a documentary on her life. I felt God pushing me to watch it, in spite of my feelings that it would be a crass documentary reflecting the vulgarity of our entertainment culture. So, in spite of myself, I watched it and felt sympathy for her because of the evident pain that she suffered from her disabling chronic fibromyalgia.

Then I did some more research about her. I felt compassion for her, much like Jesus might have felt towards St. Mary Magdalene. I believe that God wants to heal Lady Gaga and that he led me to write this article by seemingly shoving her video in my face on the TV screen and by inspiring me to research her background to present her in a sympathetic light.

In this October, the month of the Rosary, let us pray the Rosary through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Mary Magdalene, for the total healing, health, happiness and holiness of Lady Gaga whose true name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. In respect for her dignity as a human person, I will use her true name. Let us pray this intention for the glory of God and for the hope of the transformation of our culture to a Culture of Life and a Civilization of Love. I am currently in the middle of making a Novena of Holy Communions for Stephani and praying my daily Rosary for these intentions.

Stephani was raised in an Italian Catholic family and attended the all-girls Catholic Convent of the Sacred Heart school in Manhattan, New York. Recently she starred in an extravaganza act at halftime of the Super Bowl that attracted 117.5 million viewers, more viewers than actually watched the game.

Last month, Netflix released Gaga: Five Foot Two, a documentary of her career. Allegedly, her staff revealed that she had sought advice from a Catholic priest regarding the possibility of undergoing an exorcism to rid herself of the “dark spirituality” that she says she “invited in” to her body early in her career.

Stephani’s chronic pain caused her to cancel her current Fall tour in Europe in order to seek healing. Allegedly, her staff said that she believes that her fibromyalgia “is the physical manifestation of her fight to get out of the Illuminati record industry and break her contract with thedark prince’.” Perhaps God has allowed her pain in order to put the brakes on her career and give her more time to be present to him.

Stephani posted a picture of herself on social media praying the Rosary together with her explanation of why she canceled the tour. “I have always been honest about my physical and mental health struggles,” she wrote on Instagram. “[…] They are… keeping me from what I love the most in the world: performing for my fans. I am looking forward to touring again soon, but I have to be with my doctors right now so I can be strong and perform for you all for the next 60 years or more. I love you so much.”

Stephani’s social media posts have generated some controversy about her sincerity, to which she responded as follows,

Mary Magdalene washed the feet of Christ and was protected and loved by him. A prostitute. Someone society shames as if she and her body are a man’s trash can. He loved her and did not judge. He let her cry over him and dry his feet with the hair of a harlot. We are not just “celebrities” we are humans and sinners, children, and our lives are not void of values because we struggle. We are as equally forgiven as our neighbor. God is never a trend no matter who the believer.

Please be mindful that Stephani was a rape victim at the age of 19 and that she has suffered from post-traumatic stress syndrome since then.

Let us pray the Rosary, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Mary Magdalene, for the total healing, health, happiness and holiness of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta for the glory of God and for the hope of transformation of our culture to a Culture of Life and a Civilization of Love.

May the reign of Jesus King of All Nations be recognized in Stephani’s heart and may he in his Divine Mercy forgive her sinfulness, heal her brokenness and renew her heart in the faith, and peace, and love, and joy of his kingdom, that she may be one in him, for which it seems that she must be truly yearning.
