OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE
Be Free From Worry, Fear and Anxiety

Mary Most Holy, Queen of the Holy Rosary October 2022 – The Month of the Rosary

October 7, 2022

“As long as priests followed Saint Dominic’s example and preached devotion to the Holy Rosary, piety and fervor thrived throughout the Christian world and in those
religious orders which were devoted to the Rosary.”
 St. Louis De Montfort

In 1531, when Our Lady left her miraculous image on St. Juan Diego’s tilma, the Aztecs still practiced human sacrifice. In the era of the Aztec Culture of Death, the Gospel of Jesus Christ penetrated their hearts through the image and message of Our Lady of Guadalupe that brought the conversions of millions and an end to the human sacrifices.

Juan Diego's Tillma

In 1214, St. Dominic prayed for wisdom to bring conversions to the Albigensian heretics. They believed that human material life and procreation was evil and that the highest good was to commit suicide.  Our Lady appeared to him and said, “I want you to know that, in this kind of warfare, the principal weapon has always been the Angelic Psalter, which is the foundation-stone of the New Testament. Therefore, if you want to reach these hardened souls and win them over to God, preach my Psalter.” Our Lady called her Rosary “My Angelic Psalter” because the Angel Gabriel announced the first part of the Hail Mary to her and because the Rosary then consisted of 150 Hail Mary’s in three mysteries and there are also 150 psalms (the Psalter).

In both of those critical times, Our Lady won over the people to Christ and to a Culture of Life through prayer. In our own era too, Our Lady will lead humanity to a Culture of Life and a Civilization of Love through the prayer of the Holy Rosary.

It is our hope that through her intercession and the Rosary, Our Lady of Guadalupe will repeat her historic role and help to bring millions of conversions and the end of human sacrifice by legalized abortion, euthanasia, and suicide in our own Culture of Death and lead us into a Culture of Life and Civilization of Love.

St. John Paul II and Our Lady of Guadalupe Inspired Pope Francis to Pray Three Daily Rosaries!

In a tribute to St. John Paul II written after his death, Pope Francis, then Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, recounted how the Pope’s example inspired him to “recite the 15 mysteries of the Rosary every day.”

“If I remember well it was 1985,” Cardinal Bergoglio wrote. “One evening I went to recite the Holy Rosary that was being led by the Holy Father. He was in front of everybody, on his knees. The group was numerous; I saw the Holy Father from the back and, little by little, I got lost in prayer. I was not alone: I was praying in the middle of the people of God to which I and all those there belonged, led by our Pastor. His witness struck me.”

“I felt that this man, chosen to lead the Church, was following a path up to his Mother in the sky, a path set out on from his childhood. And I became aware of the density of the words of the Mother of Guadalupe to Saint Juan Diego, ‘Don’t be afraid, am I not here who am your mother?’ I understood the presence of Mary in the life of the Pope. From that time on I recite the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary every day.”

We Really Need Your Help!

When we receive reports from Guardians telling us how veneration of the Image and the hours of prayer and the Rosary before the Image have resulted in conversions, miracles, life and healings, we realize how important the work of our Apostolate is today. Our Lady of Guadalupe in her Missionary Image restores hope to a hopeless world and leads those who have gone astray home to the heart of her Son. Your help enables us to continue our work! We appreciate you and thank you for your encouragement and support.

When Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to St. Juan Diego, she sent him on a great mission. At the same time, all she asked of him was, “Do the best that you can!” That is what she asks each one of us.

Will you once again do your best to help us do our best for Our Lady of Guadalupe? Please help us. Every gift, no matter the size, is needed. We know for certain that Our Lady will be happy for your sacrifice.

Please do the best you can and remember that our supporters are remembered in our daily Perpetual Novena and Rosaries to Our Lady of Guadalupe, our weekly Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament and our special monthly Masses. Send us your prayer requests and we will place them before Our Lady of Guadalupe and pray for you!

PS:  Now is the time to have confidence in the prayer of the Holy Rosary. As Our Lady told St. Juan Diego, she is “Mother of all those who have confidence in me.”  Today let us resolve to pray the daily Rosary with confidence in her intercession. “So please do not scorn this beautiful and heavenly tree, but plant it with your own hands in the garden of your soul, making the resolution to say your Rosary every day.” St. Louis De Montfort.
