Lenten Campaign

Dear Friend of Dan Lynch Apostolates,

Welcome to our Lenten Campaign!

Lent is a special time of prayer, penance, sacrifice and good works in preparation of the celebration of Easter. In the desire to renew the liturgical practices of the Church, The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy of Vatican Council II stated, “The two elements which are especially characteristic of Lent — the recalling of baptism or the preparation for it, and penance — should be given greater emphasis in the liturgy and in liturgical catechesis. It is by means of them that the Church prepares the faithful for the celebration of Easter, while they hear God’s word more frequently and devote more time to prayer” (no. 109). The word Lent itself is derived from the Anglo-Saxon words lencten, meaning “Spring,” and lenctentid, which literally means not only “Springtide” but also was the word for “March,” the month in which the majority of Lent falls.

Jesus said, “If you give what you have as alms, all will be wiped clean for you.” (Luke 11:41). I invite you to be a beneficiary of the promise of Jesus to be wiped clean by giving alms for our Apostolates.

Saint John Paul II declared a new mission for America. He said, “Now is the time of the New Evangelization to lead the People of God in America to cross the threshold of the third millennium with renewed hope. I ask Our Lady of Guadalupe to visit every diocese and parish in America. May she cross this continent bringing it ‘life, sweetness and hope’! ”

When St. Juan Diego told the Indians that Our Lady had come to Tepeyac as their “Mother”, news of her apparitions spread. The tender and consoling story melted their hearts. They recognized their dignity in God’s eyes and they renounced human sacrifice and their idols, their superstitions, polygamy and sodomy. Through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, they believed in eternal life through Jesus Christ’s forgiveness of their sins.

In our day, our nation suffers similar sinful behaviors. Our Lady of Guadalupe must be made known and seen by the people through the Visitations of her Missionary Image so that hearts may be melted and our culture transformed from a Culture of Death to a Culture of Life.

In 2022 alone we:

    •  Co-ordinated Visitations of the Missionary Images of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Jesus King of All Nations and Our Lady of America to dioceses and parishes throughout America
    • Trained and supported Guardian Teams to plan and receive these Visitations which resulted in . .
    • Many Masses, hours of adoration, rosaries, and veneration and
    • Many reconciliations, healings, conversions and signs and wonders were reported.

But, in order to continue this amazing work for the greater glory of God, we must raise $71,250 by Good Friday, April 7, to keep these Apostolates active! This is just for our normal operating expenses of maintaining our Apostolates’ Center and paying our modest salaries. There is no surplus in our budget, which does not include any special projects, needs, or savings.

We need your help to continue this important work of the New Evangelization.

Please make your most generous donation online today.

Your donation today goes directly to supporting the New Evangelization by helping us bring the Missionary Image of Our Lady to ‘each and every diocese, parish and family in America’!

Please don’t delay, we need your support today.

Our Apostolates live from hand to mouth with nothing to fall back on except you and Divine Providence. We have no investments, no CDs and no savings. Like you, we must pay for occupancy and utilities. In addition, we must pay living wages for our employees to help them support themselves and their families. However, God has always provided for us through the intercession of St. Joseph, Our Lady of Guadalupe and your help. I trust that God will continue to provide for our needs through them and through you.

We only ask for what we need, spend only for our needs and hope in God to supply them through you.

So, I ask you to please prayerfully consider giving the most generous amount you can today in support of our campaign. It is only together that we can build the Culture of Life and a Civilization of Love for which Saint John Paul II prayed.

We strive to honor your generosity through our dedication to our mission. (See our Mission Statement by clicking here).

It is humbling for me to ask for money. However, I have a responsibility to God, to our Catholic mission, to all who can benefit from that mission, and to our staff and their families.

Please take a few minutes right now and make your donation online by clicking here

To make a donation by phone, you may also call us at 802-524-5350.

Please send whatever you can afford. As Our Lady of Guadalupe said to St. Juan Diego: Do the best that you can!”

Don’t forget, we remember you. Our benefactors receive the following spiritual benefits from our Apostolates: our intercession for your Prayer Petitions (click here to make your Prayer Petitions) in our daily Chaplets; in our Rosaries and perpetual Novenas; in our weekly Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament and in our special monthly Masses for your intentions. Thank you for your donation today!

Thank you for remembering us.

In Our Lady’s Heart,
Dan

P.S. “Be not sparing of freewill gifts. With each contribution show a cheerful countenance, and pay your tithes in a spirit of joy. Give to the Most High as He has given to you, generously, according to your means. For the LORD is one who always repays, and He will give back to you sevenfold.” (Sirach 35:7-10)
