Dear Friend of Our Lady of Guadalupe,
Barbara recently had the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the Brewster, New York area. She received the following letter from Karina who hosted Our Lady in her home. Karina’s initial anxiety was relieved when she learned that Jesus and Mary accept us to come to them as we are. She found her peace!

Thank you for the invitation to bring Our Lady to our home. I must say that when I first said yes, I was a bit hesitant and nervous. It was one of those times when you want to be a great host.
I wanted to make sure that we venerated Our Lady with respect and love. Once I prayed on this uneasiness, I had to surrender those worries and let the Image of Our Lady be in our home with the chaos that takes place on a daily basis.
What I learned is that Jesus and Mary accept us for who we are and they want us to come to them as we are.
I remember seeing the joyful tears that were shining in your eyes when you were telling me about the peace that you felt in your home. I was looking and hoping for that peace which I couldn’t find. I started questioning whether I prayed enough, deserved to have her in my house etc…. All of that was trying to disturb a peace that was already here.
My aunt called from the Dominican Republic because she knew that Our Lady was visiting here. She asked that Samantha write a petition that Our Lady intervene for her and help her to regain her vision that was slowly being lost due to Diabetes. I told her that I had already written the petition. I could sense the peace that my aunt felt and how loved she felt.
Even so, Samantha still felt a responsibility to write the petition that my aunt requested. I later went to Samantha’s room to put some laundry away and discovered a picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Divine Mercy tucked in her bed. (See the photo below). I found my peace.
Samantha also took an envelope to school that contained both of the Images because she wanted to give them to her friend.
After all of these miracles, I learned that God’s peace and love spread differently and I am so grateful to you for allowing me to have my share through Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Sincerely,
Karina
