Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

“I am the merciful Mother of all mankind. Am I not your hope?”
Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego

Dan Lynch

In contrast to the Culture of Death with its loss of life and hope, St. John Paul II called Our Lady of Guadalupe the Mother of Hope and the Mother and Evangelizer of America.

He went on to say, “Now is the time of the New Evangelization to lead the People of God in America to cross the threshold of the third millennium with renewed hope.” Our culture is in darkness, but we know that God’s grace and light pierce the darkness of sin to bring life and hope through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

As we celebrate the end of our 30th year of Visitations of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we continue to see that Our Lady of Guadalupe brings us hope!

Missionary Image Visitation to Denver

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe made a Visitation to Colorado throughout the months of October and November. The Visitation was entitled the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Tour of Colorado.

The image traveled to over 100 locations, from the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver to Colorado Springs. Her presence was a bulwark for the faithful who prayerfully interceded for the dignity of all life, from conception until natural death. Her first stop was at the Denver Marian Conference. There were many hours of Masses, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, rosaries and veneration of the Image.

The Visitation was organized by the Lepanto Project, in association with the Dan Lynch Apostolates. The Lepanto Project is a Colorado nonprofit founded by Lisa Van Bramer, M.D. whose primary mission is advocacy for life issues.

She said, “Our Lady wanted to come here because as soon as people heard she was coming, her ‘dance card’ completely filled up.” What was originally envisioned as a short 1 or 2 day Visitation, quickly turned into a Visitation for the entire month!

Hundreds In Eucharistic Procession
with Missionary Image to Abortion Center

On October 2, over 400 Catholics in Denver joined a pro-life Eucharistic procession with the Missionary Image around the Planned Parenthood abortion center, the largest in the state and one of the largest in the country.

Maria Elisa Olivas, community coordinator for the Archdiocese’s Respect Life Office said, “The testimony I picked up from Hispanic participants was how peaceful and loving is the strength that Jesus brings to us when we process in a place of death.”

Catholics from parishes all around the Archdiocese participated in the event, as did seminarians from St. John Vianney Theological Seminary, priests, and the Sisters of Life.

Another participant said, “I was able to experience a gentle peace as we processed in shared prayer and adoration. It was so nice to be surrounded by all ages — from newborn babies, pregnant mothers, elderly, and all ages in between — as we gathered in prayer, lifting our voices for the voiceless.”

The procession began in the garden of a nearby pro-life clinic and circled the abortion center three times before Benediction was offered back in the garden.

Gianna Smith, a sophomore in high school, said that “it is important for young people to pray at Planned Parenthood. Saturday was amazing because there were so many people, so you have the power of group prayer, and on top of that, the Eucharist circling the building.

“My mom taught me at a very young age how terrible abortion is, so I want to be a part of the movement of it being illegal and unthinkable,” Gianna explained. “I know God especially listens to young people praying, and with such an important issue as abortion is, I don’t even mind giving up a Saturday.”

On October 7, Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila celebrated a special Mass at the Cathedral Basilica that was livestreamed, and following it, all the faithful of Colorado were invited to partake in a statewide rosary together and invoked the Blessed Mother’s intercession for an end to the culture of death in Colorado and beyond. You may see the live streamed Mass HERE.

Dr. Van Bramer said that knowing the Image’s history of being able to change hearts and minds, she is convinced that Our Lady wanted to make her presence known in Colorado.

“Our Lady wanted to be here,” Dr. Van Bramer said. “I’m just her secretary. I’m just writing down the things that are coming our way.”

  Am I Not Your Hope?

Our Lady of Guadalupe said to St. Juan Diego, “Am I not your hope?” Mary is the Mother of Hope. She is the Mother of Jesus Christ who is our hope and brings life as the conqueror of despair and death. Through her, we should have the confident expectation of divine blessings such as the closing of abortion centers, conversions, healings and the manifestations of heartbeats in the Image and Holy Glitter on it. That is hope!

See our ad for my books and DVD that tell the whole story of Our Lady of Guadalupe from Columbus until today. Learn how to pray with her and how she healed a woman from post-abortion trauma. They can be found on our website HERE or you may call our office at 802-524-5350.

People continue to tell us how veneration of the Missionary Image have brought blessings of many mothers having safe deliveries; choosing life for their preborn babies; being healed from abortions or becoming pregnant when all hope was lost. The work that we do is making an impact in peoples’ lives. Your help has made this possible for so many people! You are an important member of our apostolate. Thank you for all the ways in which you support us.

We remember you and we want you to know that in the upcoming Christmas season, you and your loved ones will be in our daily prayers, novenas, weekly holy hours and monthly Masses. Your intentions are offered to Our Lady of Guadalupe and her Son everyday in our chapel. You are important to us and we want you to know how much we appreciate you, your prayers and your assistance.

As we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, please help us to continue her mission to end abortions and the Culture of Death and bring conversions and a Culture of Life, for which St. John Paul II prayed. With your help we will be able to continue our evangelization efforts – taking Our Lady through her Missionary Image into parishes and cities throughout our great nation.

Please take a few minutes right now and make your donation HERE or by phone at 802-524-5350.

Please send whatever you can afford. As Our Lady of Guadalupe said to St. Juan Diego, “Do the best that you can!” Please help us with a gift today. The heat is on in the office as winter has settled in. The anticipation of Christmas grows in our hearts, but the bills must still be paid. We really need your help. Every gift, no matter the size, is important. We know for certain that Our merciful Mother of Hope and her Son will bless your sacrifice. You can never outdo Him in generosity.

Don’t forget, we remember you. Thank you for remembering us. Thank you for helping us. Thank you for being a messenger of hope. With singer Jose Feliciano (see the photo below of him venerating the Missionary Image), may you have a Feliz Navidad, Prospero Año y Felicidad, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
