Father Jarvis Hosts a Visitation

Father Christopher Jarvis of the Diocese of Gaylord, Michigan, hosted a Visitation of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe during the Christmas season. He wrote to us,

The visit of Our Lady to northern Michigan was amazing.  A couple of miracles happened.  I believe that the fact that we were able to have her here is a miracle itself, and during the Christmas season! What a blessing.

She spent time at St. Ann Parish with the K-7 school kids.  She spent time there for a whole weekend of Masses.

She spent time at St. Stephen Parish and the parishioners were thrilled.  Especially being able to spend 6 hours of adoration of Our Lord and veneration of the image of Our Lady on New Year’s Eve. Even though incense filled the church, it smelled strongly like roses.

She spent Christmas day at St. Theresa Church in Manton, Michigan.

She also visited our cloistered Carmelite Nuns in Traverse City. After Sunday Mass with them and then veneration in their chapel, she went into the cloister with them as they spent the night in veneration.  They have a special connection to Our Lady of Guadalupe because their founding members fled Mexico during the persecution. They were thrilled.

She also spent time at Holy Rosary Church in Cedar, Michigan and visited two personal homes in the greater Traverse City area.

I can’t express how blessed we were to have Our Lady with us for some time. Thank you!

God bless,
Fr. Jarvis

Perhaps Our Lady of Guadalupe is Calling You to
Host a Visitation of her Missionary Image

St. Pope John Paul II said, “May Our Lady of Guadalupe cross this continent bringing it life, sweetness and hope!”

May you help to fulfill his wish, become a Guardian of her image and bring her life, sweetness and hope to your area!
