Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger recently had a Visitation with the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Albany, New York.
When he became Albany’s Bishop, he wrote, “When Pope Francis called me to be Bishop of the Diocese of Albany, the one thing I feared was that I would have to spend my days sitting behind a desk and wouldn’t have the opportunity to do what I love most: to be a pastor, to be with my people.”
Well, he wasn’t sitting at his desk when he had a happy visit with the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Immaculate Conception, the Queen of his diocese. Please see the photo below. Bishop Ed also wrote her a love letter that you may read below.
The Missionary Image has traveled on Visitations for the last 25 years to bring conversions and a Culture of Life and Civilization of Love, for which St. John Paul II prayed. Learn how to host a Visitation here.
