Guardian Sara Zervos of Michigan City, Indiana, sent me her report of her Visitation of the Missionary Image for her feast day. Here is her report.
Dear Dan Lynch,
This was our first time having the Missionary Image of Guadalupe at our northwest Indiana (Gary diocese) parish of St. Stanislaus Kostka parish, in Michigan City, Indiana.
The Image arrived safely. Our pastor allowed the Image to be set up in the small convent chapel in the old convent, and we had a Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe, each night, with a completed Novena celebrated in our main church with the Image present on December 11th.
In East Chicago, Indiana, close to the Illinois border, the Carmelite Sisters have for the past 100 years run a Home for Boys and a Home for Girls. This Home takes in children ages about 2 years to 14 years who have been pulled from domestic violence by the State Department of Children and Family Services. They sometimes arrive in the middle of the night, and the good Carmelite nuns especially have a large number of children (over 100) around the Christmas holidays.
Sister Giuseppe of the Carmelite Sisters welcomed, with the other Sisters and staff, the beautiful Missionary Image. I told them a story I personally know. Back in the 1990’s a friend of mine had a 12 year old son facing dangerous throat surgery due to breathing problems. The Missionary Image was visiting the Chicago suburb of Oak Forest. When he went into the church and touched the Image, this boy was instantly healed, and needed no surgery. When the Sisters heard that story, how welcome Our Lady was at that Home for Children with so many innocent little children who had physical and emotional needs, and were raw with sorrow, in desperate need of healing.
When the Sisters finished with the Image, we took her to the Planned Parenthood murder center in Merrillville, Indiana.
Our street counselor, Patricia, was able with others to talk three women into going for free (pro-life) ultrasounds, while the rest of us prayed the Rosary, The Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Memorare Prayer while we were there. And our wonderful Bishop Donald Hying personally came and led the Rosary with us. Bishop Hying of the Gary Diocese is solidly behind our pro-life mission.
Our Lady is working!
And three of the pro-life people at the Planned Parenthood Center took down the information about Dan Lynch’s mission and the website, to try having the Missionary Image come to their parishes.
Let us all become energized and help Our Lady of Guadalupe in her mission to end abortion without exception. Please respond to her plea and host a Visitation of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe to your area. Learn how here at our website or call Johane today at 802 524-5350.
We thank Dan Lynch and his staff for this wonderful gift of grace.
