27th Annual National Night of Prayer for Life with Our Lady of Guadalupe

27th Annual National Night of Prayer for Life with Our Lady of Guadalupe
                                                             Dan Lynch

On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in 1531, then celebrated on December 9, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Queen of America and Patroness of the Unborn, first appeared to St. Juan Diego.

The National Night of Prayer for Life bridges the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, now celebrated on December 8, with the Feast of St. Juan Diego, December 9, and prays through their intercession for a Culture of Life, for protection of the Church from persecution and for the renewal of the faith in our country.

Everyone is invited to participate and every parish is urged to join in praying on this holy occasion from 9 PM December 8 (Thursday) to 1 AM December 9 (Friday), your local time, or at other times as you are able. In the United States these hours will cover our four contiguous time zones so that there will be unity of prayer from 12 AM to 1 AM Eastern Standard Time.

The National Night of Prayer for Life is a prayer service consisting of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the holy Rosary, prayer to St. Michael, silent prayer and hymns.

Please inform your local priests, Right to Life Organizations, Knights of Columbus, all other parish groups and your friends and family across the nation.

My booklet, An Hour of Prayer for Life, Peace and Protection with Our Lady of Guadalupe, may be obtained here.

Please confirm your participation by sending an email to evecampfield@hotmail.com.
