My friends Ted and Maureen Flynn are once again sponsoring the International Week of Prayer and Fasting.
Your help and support is greatly needed to spread the information about the 24th International Week of Prayer and Fasting which will take place from October 2 – 10, 2016. On the closing day, Monday, October 10, there will be an all-day Eucharistic Prayer Vigil with Mass at noon and speakers and the global living Rosary and confessions all day.
The movement’s goals are to pray and fast:
- for the conversion of all nations
- to build a culture of life
- to defend the sanctity of marriage and family life
- for peace and to Implore God’s Mercy.
Just as the naval battle at Lepanto 1571 changed the course of history when Pope Pius V called for Christians to open their homes, convents, and monasteries to pray the Holy Rosary, so today many believe we need a new Lepanto 2016. The sea battle was won by the Christian naval forces on October 7, 1571. Europe was saved and later this date became the Feast of the Holy Rosary.
Our Blessed Mother has said “we can do more in one day of intense prayer than years of discussions.” “Your entire Rosary….can even influence all the events of your time.”
Please spread this information to your email lists, prayer groups, parishes and priests. Through the praying of the Rosary, Our Lady says, everything can still be changed.
