“As long as priests followed Saint Dominic’s example and preached devotion to the Holy Rosary,
piety and fervor thrived throughout the Christian world and in those religious orders which
                                           were devoted to the Rosary.”
St. Louis De Montfort

Dear Friend of Our Lady of Guadalupe,

In 1531, when Our Lady left her miraculous image on St. Juan Diego’s tilma, the Aztecs practiced human sacrifice. In the era of the Aztec culture of death, the Gospel of Jesus Christ penetrated hearts through the image of a Queen, Our Lady of Guadalupe. And the miracle of her image brought the conversions of millions, an end to the human sacrifices and countless other miracles.

When Our Lady appeared to St. Dominic in 1214, he had been praying for wisdom about the difficulties in converting the Albigensian heretics. The beautiful Lady said, “I want you to know that, in this kind of warfare, the principal weapon has always been the Angelic Psalter, which is the foundation-stone of the New Testament. Therefore, if you want to reach these hardened souls and win them over to God, preach my Psalter.” “Angelic Psalter” is another name for the Rosary. It’s called “angelic” because the angel Gabriel spoke the first part of the “Hail Mary”. It’s called “Psalter” because it’s like the psalms that offer praise to God.

During these critical times, Our Lady won over the people to Christ through prayer. In our own era, Our Lady continues to lead mankind to a deeper devotion and love for Christ and His Gospel through the prayer of the Holy Rosary.

A unique way to pray the Rosary is by meditating on the gospel mysteries that parallel the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe. For example, in the mystery of the Annunciation, the Angel Gabriel made an announcement to the Virgin Mary and the parallel with the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe is that she made an announcement to St. Juan Diego that she was, “the perfect and perpetual Virgin Mary.” These meditations of mine are contained in the Prayers for Life Rosary Package. This contains a wooden Rosary of Our Lady of Guadalupe and a Prayers for Life booklet that contains prayers, psalms, images, hymns and my meditations on all of the twenty mysteries of the Rosary.                                                The Missionary Image Visits the Poor

Missionary Image Guardian Joanne Rodda of Carmel, New York, brought Our Lady’s Image to the Little Sisters of the Poor and the Community of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal (CFR) co-founded by Fr. Benedict Groeschel. It was displayed for their veneration and the veneration of the elderly, the poor and the homeless.

The venerators shared experiences of “peace, tranquility, strong faith, interior comfort, tenderness, hope and healing for many people and the presence of Our Blessed Mother who was with us in a more intimate way.”

CFR Brother Philip said, “I am particularly touched again at how every time she visits Casa Juan Diego in Yonkers the day goes miraculously smooth and many wonderful things happen which nobody can deny. I had her at my final vows profession and a number of other CFR events and every time great blessings resulted.”

                                                          We Really Need Your Help!

We really need your help because our Apostolate is also poor. When we receive letters and phone calls from Guardians telling us how veneration of the Image and the hours of prayer and the Rosary before the Image have resulted in conversions, miracles, life and healings, we realize how important the work of our Apostolate is today. Our Lady of Guadalupe in her Missionary Image restores hope to a hopeless world and leads those who have gone astray home to the heart of her Son. Your help enables us to continue our work! We appreciate you and thank you for your encouragement and support.

When Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to St. Juan Diego, she sent him on a great mission. At the same time, all she asked of him was, “Do the best that you can!” That is what she asks each one of us.

Our income this summer was very low! We really need your help today. As I compose this letter, there are $19,772.00 of unpaid bills just for our ordinary operating expenses. Will you once again do your best to help us do our best for Our Lady of Guadalupe? Please help us. Every gift, no matter the size, is needed. We know for certain that Our Lady will be happy for your sacrifice.

Please do the best you can and remember that our supporters are remembered in our daily Perpetual Novena and Rosaries to Our Lady of Guadalupe, our weekly Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament and our special monthly Masses. Send us your petitions and we will place them before Our Lady of Guadalupe and pray for you!

Sincerely in Christ,

Dan Lynch

PS: Now is the time to have confidence in the prayer of the Holy Rosary.            “So please do not scorn this beautiful and heavenly tree, but plant it with your own hands
in the garden of your soul, making the resolution to say your Rosary every day.”
St. Louis De Montfort
