Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
                                             July 1, 2011

Dear Friend of Jesus King of All Nations,

Venerable Pope Pius IX invited all the faithful to consecrate themselves to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on the 200th anniversary of the Lord’s apparitions to St. Margaret Mary on June 16, 1875. Later, Pope Leo XIII consecrated the entire human race to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11, 1899.

St. Margaret Mary said, “He showed me that it was His great desire of being loved by men and of withdrawing them from the path of ruin into which Satan hurls such crowds of them, that made Him form the design of manifesting His Heart to men, with all the treasures of love, of mercy, of grace, of sanctification and salvation which it contains, in order that those who desire to render Him and procure for Him all the honor and love possible, might themselves be abundantly enriched with those divine treasures of which this Heart is the source.”

Jesus King of All Nations revealed that His Devotion is to be a companion devotion to that of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. In the Image of Jesus King we see Him particularly vulnerable with His arms spread wide and His wounded Heart exposed pouring His merciful blood and water onto our heartsick world. There is no doubt that today more than ever, we must practice the Devotion to Jesus King of All Nations.

Mary Lou Pannell of Stephenville, Texas, one of our supporters, wrote me, “I want to take this opportunity to let you know how much this devotion has meant to me personally. I was immediately attracted to the Chaplet of Unity and pray it twice a day. I pray for our nation each day by dividing it into five regions. For each decade, I pray especially for the people in those particular states, praying that God will ‘forgive our sinfulness, heal our brokenness, and renew our hearts in the faith, peace, love and joy of your kingdom, that we may be one in you’. These prayers have brought me much peace and consolation. Thank you. May God richly bless you for all your devoted work.”

Jesus King said that our ideas must grow not in the mind but “in the heart” to become a “living love.” He said, “When in the mind, the image remains but an idea, but once the soul allows it to take root and grow in the heart, it becomes a living faith, a living reality, a living love, faith in action. This was My Mother’s perfect response to the Will of God.”

Jesus King revealed the prayer, “O Jesus King of All Nations, may your reign be recognized on earth!” We can help His reign to be recognized on earth by the love of our child-like hearts. In the world today, hearts have been desensitized and have grown cold. When we consecrate ourselves to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we allow Him to form our hearts like His. We can then show our love for Him by helping to repair for the world’s growing contempt of Him through loving His Mother and loving one another from our hearts.

We also pray the prayer, “Jesus meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto Thine.” In order to practice the Devotion to Jesus King and have “peace in our hearts and in our homes”, as Jesus promised those who practice this Devotion, we must have meek and humble hearts – hearts open to grace and to Christ’s invitation to follow Him.

In our times, we must have the courage and zeal to boldly proclaim, without apology, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the teachings of His Church and the practice of the Devotion. We cannot make this happen on our own. In His mercy, Jesus has given us the great theological virtues of faith, hope and charity. We have nothing to fear, but simply to step forward and be a voice for Jesus King of All Nations in our everyday lives by our meek and humble actions which speak louder than words.

You can do this by helping us to continue to spread the Devotion of Jesus King and by hosting a Visitation of His Image. By hosting a parish or home Visitation, you will be sharing your faith in Jesus Christ. You will be spreading hope to those who join in the prayers of the Devotion and veneration of the Image. You will be showing great charity to those who have not yet come to know the love of God.
